Willkommen!

We can hardly wait to organize another symposium with and for you - really, we can’t wait. Right now, we are in the middle of planning the next edition of the “Routesetting Symposium”. However, the corona pandemic and our financial planning are currently making it very difficult for us to find a suitable date and to plan it as safely as possible. We will keep you informed about the whole endeavour! But do not fret - it will definitely continue!

In the meantime, we would love for you to follow us, like, share and comment on our posts on Instagram. That’s where most of our community work is currently taking place.

Konzept und Motivation

Wir verstehen das “Routesetting Symposium” als Ideenwerkstatt und Community-Host, um Routenbauer:innen zu empowern und zu vernetzen. Aus einem kleinen Projekt ist mittlerweile eine Bewegung geworden, die nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern weltweit Routenbauende sowie die Kletterindustrie erreicht und zum Dialog anregt. 

Dem noch jungen Berufsfeld geben wir so von Beginn an die Chance Diversität, Gleichberechtigung, Achtsamkeit und FairPay mitzudenken. Wochen- und monatsweise bereiten wir relevante und spannende Themen auf Instagram auf und stehen in engem Austausch mit der Community, um immer besser zu verstehen, was die Herausforderungen beim Routenbau sind.

We are particularly interested in tackling the existing gender imbalance in this profession. FINTA * people are only seldom represented in the routesetting space. This is very problematic as it increases the risk of confirming and reproducing gender stereotypes. We want to counteract this issue in a targeted manner.

Das Herzstück unserer Arbeit ist das lokale Symposium, auf dem wir euch begegnen, in Austausch treten, voneinander lernen sowie miteinander schrauben und bouldern. Nach unserem aktuellen Konzept wenden sich Workshops, Seminare und Routenbauwettkampf explizit an FINTA*-Personen; zu Vorträgen, Diskussion(en) und Bouldern sind ausnahmslos alle herzlich eingeladen.   

 Zukünftig streben wir an, alle Bereiche des Symposiums für jedermensch zu öffnen, um noch mehr Austausch und Gespräche auf allen Ebenen zu fördern. Bis zu diesem Moment müssen jedoch noch einige Räder gedreht und so manche alteingesessenen Ansichten überwunden werden. Wir arbeiten deshalb ganz nach dem Motto “das Symposium schafft sich selbst ab” und wollen Gleichberechtigung und Diversität im Arbeitsfeld Routenbau so schnell wie möglich zu einer Konstante werden lassen.
